Member of BVC with apron on helping in the kitchen at the Bethany Night Shelter

Night Shelter

Jesus shows us how much every person matters and that he’s directly affected by our response to those who are hungry, thirsty, inadequately clothed,  imprisoned ….(Matthew 25:31-46, the Parable of the Sheep and the Goats). Bethany Christian Trust have been providing support to people who are homeless for years now. One of the ways we are able to support the work of Bethany is by making available our church halls, along with a couple of volunteers to work alongside catering teams sent from other churches for the Bethany Night Shelter which runs from October to March. We’re hoping to be on the rota to host this again for a few evenings from October. Trained Bethany staff are present throughout the night. If you can set out tables and chairs, offer a welcome and perhaps a listening ear or  occasionally (for one of our slots) cook or help prepare a meal for approx 30 people or please consider joining the Night Shelter team. Contact us for more info.
